The University of Malaga, through the SCBI, is part of the national quantum computing project QuantumSpain.

In QuantumSpain, the Spanish Supercomputing Network and leading research institutions work together in the creation of the first quantum computing infrastructure in Spain, exploring the applications of this new computational paradigm.

Among the objectives of the project are to provide researchers with a quantum computer (installed at the Barcelona Supercomputer Center) and to create training resources through the TalentQ program.
