The Center for Supercomputing and Bioinnovation (SCBI) of the University of Malaga provides scientific support and computing and bioinformatics resources to the scientific community that demands supercomputing services, data storage, advice and training in parallelization of applications.
The SCBI is the RES-Picasso node of the ICTS (Singular Infrastructures of Science and Technology, 2014) distributed Spanish Supercomputing Network (RES, 2007). In addition, the SCBI is the computational node (PAB) of the Andalusian Platform for Genomics, Proteomics and Bioinformatics (2006).
Picasso is a fundamental supercomputing infrastructure used daily by hundreds of research groups belonging to the University of Malaga, multiple Andalusian public institutions (through the PAB), as well as groups from all over Spain (through the RES) and private companies.
The SCBI provides a comprehensive solution to bioinformatics problems, unifying the tools to process samples and the expertise to analyze that data in the same place. This way you can obtain the solution to your problem without worrying about intermediate steps. We can also help you with advisory services and training in all steps of your work.
