De novo genome assembly
The de novo Genome Assembly Service offers a comprehensive solution for reconstructing complete genomic sequences from next-generation sequencing (NGS) data without needing prior reference. This process is fundamental in genomics research and has applications in various fields, including comparative genomics, molecular evolution, identifying specific genes, and studying genetic diversity.
The service encompasses quality inspection of the raw sequencing data with preprocessing to remove artifacts and improve sequence quality. Subsequently, assembly is carried out using different algorithmic approaches depending on the sequencing library. Once assembly is completed, additional analyses are performed to assess the quality and integrity of the assembled genome. Finally, a descriptive and functional annotation of the assembled genomic regions is performed using different databases.
