Transcriptomic analysis
The RNA-Seq service offers the possibility of studying gene expression by quantifying the abundance of RNA molecules in a sample from a known reference and comparing it under different biological conditions.
This process begins with quality inspection and preprocessing of sequencing reads. The helpful readings are then aligned to a given reference. With the alignment’s quantification, each gene’s expression data is obtained. Different algorithms are applied to this quantification matrix to calculate the differential expression between the various experimental conditions of the study. Finally, a functional analysis of the differentially expressed genes is carried out.
