About Bioinformatics
The Bioinformatics Unit of the University of Malaga provides bioinformatics services and support to research and development laboratories, both in the public and private sectors. In addition, it is integrated into the Andalusian Bioinformatics Platform (PAB).
The service offers a wide range of bioinformatics tools accessible from the Picasso Supercomputer, including proprietary software and open-access tools. These tools can be used autonomously or by hiring the services of the unit’s specialized personnel.
In addition to specialized services, courses, and seminars designed to improve researchers’ bioinformatics skills are also offered
Access to resources is done through prior registration in the Supercomputing and Bioinformatics service
Services
Below are services designed to meet various research needs in biological data analysis. From the assembly of de novo genomes and transcriptomes to the identification of genetic variants or biological diversity analyses. In addition, personalized bioinformatics analysis services are offered and adapted to the needs of researchers.
