Isolation of specific microscopic region from tissue samples

LMD_antes_despues.jpg

The laser microdissection systems uses a laser to isolate specific microscopic regions from tissue samples. Researcher can selectively and routinely analyze regions of interest down to sigle cells from all kind of tissues, even living cells from cell culture, to obtein results that are relevant, reproducible, and specific.

DNA/RNA integrity (RIN) and cuantifications

bio-portada_pequeña.jpg

Assessing the quantity and quality of your experimental starting material is essential for research success. The Agilent 2100 Bioanalyzer system is a versatile tool for sample quality control (QC) in many workflows, including next generation sequencing, gene expression, and proteomics. It allows evaluation of integrity, concentration and purity of RNA, DNA and protein samples derived from a large range of origins, including FFPE samples, laser-microdissected tissues, and biopsies. It can also perform fluorescent analysis of intact cells of limited quantity.

DNA/RNA specific fragmentation

Hydroshear_final.jpg

The HydroShear offering a simple and easy-to-use, reproducible, and controllable method of fragmenting DNA. The HydroShear DNA Shearing creates and controls hydrodynamic forces that work in conjunction with its innovative shearing assembly to shear DNA. A wide range of DNA samples are compatible with the HydroShear, and the shearing parameters can be adjusted to produce specific fragment lengths of DNA.

The system is ideal for uniform and reproducible making of large DNA fragments for long reads with Next- and 3rd High Throughput Generation Sequencers, and is the best system to generate large DNA fragments needed for long sequencing reads and genomic library construction (example Genomic and Paired End Library Construction).

Electroelution of DNA from gel slides

elutrap2.jpg

The Elutrap System is designed to isolate nucleic acids and proteins from agarose or polyacrylamide gel slices by electroelution. Samples are purified with excellent recovery into volumes as low as 200 μl, without requiring sample pretreatment or special buffers. The Elutrap Electrophoresis Chamber allows for the most efficient flow of current through the device and can be used for up to four samples simultaneously.
