Description: |
A total of 180 individuals (mean weight = 29.9 ± 6.3 g) were distributed in six 300 l cylindrical tanks (30 individuals/tank) at a salinity of 35 psu. After 24 h ofacclimatation, water was replaced and three different salinities were assayed in duplicate: 5, 35 (control), and 60 psu. Three individuals/tank were sampled at 24 and 72 h after change of water salinity. Gills, intestine, kidney and brain were rapidly dissected, frozen in liquid nitrogen and stored at -80ºC.
