🔬 The use of supercomputers is transforming the way we tackle complex challenges in science and industry. At the Bioinformatics Unit of the Supercomputing and Bioinnovation Center at the University of Málaga, we are leveraging our #Picasso cluster, in collaboration with the ARQUIMEA Research Center (Tenerife), to identify new genes 🧬 involved in the production of metabolites with biotechnological applications—all from extremophile bacteria found in diverse environments such as volcanoes and Antarctica.

The project, called #PROTOBAC, is a clear example of how collaboration and knowledge transfer can open new frontiers in research and innovation.
